When we created Smelly Paws candles in 2022 we wanted to do our bit to protect our enviroment, as such we invested alot of time into researching the ingredients we use in our produts before we put them onto the market.

We found that Coconut wax is the most sustainable wax over that of Palm and Soy waxes which are linked to high levels of deforestation, and obviously Parafin waxes were not even looked into!

When researching fragrances we found that some brands are not willing to confirm or deny if their fragrance oils are tested on Animals, as such these were instantly dismissed. We have found a supplier whos oils are marketed as cruelty free, not tested on any animals and to make things even better are also Vegan friendly!

We use no plastics what so ever in either our products, manufacturing processes or packaging materials. Our presentation boxes and shipping boxes are all made from cardboard and we even go as far as using eco friendly packing tape

To make things even better our 30cl candle glasses can be washed out of wax residue when you are finished with hem and can make perfect drinking glasses, wheat beter way to protect our enviroment than reusing materials

Even though we have tried to be as sustainable as we can be there is always more that we can do to protect and sustain our enviroment.

As our business grows we plan to make buy our supplies in bulk to reduce delivery volumes to reduce C02 emissions from delivery vans. We also have ambitions to run our the electrical equipment used in the production of the candles from electricity generated by solar panels
